Strawberry Jam

Last week we went strawberry picking. Since I had all these strawberry, I decided to make some jam. Here are some pictures of the making.

washed and clenaned
Crushed and measured
Getting ready to cook them
Taking the foam off
Bath time
All nice and done.

These tasted so good. Nothing taste better then home made jam. We had some jam over hot biscuits. Yum!

Hey Girl... I have to tell you that you have done a really bad thing. Since we moved to TN, picking berries has been a tradition. The first year I made jam, and when we ran out of it in the middle of the winter. I bought some from sams, Well it sat there for months till strawberry picking again. I was told that last year I better make a year supply out of. So 29 jars of Jam later we have 2 left, and thank goodness the farm opens next week. So the bad thing is. you have now spoiled your family, they might never go back to the store bought. Oh and I took 2 jars home last year to my mom and dad, and they have told me, I better make them some more this year. So I guess I will be factory for a couple days.

I cant even make bread, know its not hard, i love the smell of it baking and when its cooled cutting a slice. Your jam would be a perfect topper. I planted a strawberry patch but hasn't really kick into gear. But I'm going to try your jam when it does. I live in Utah and they make canning simply (lol) my grandma from Tenn. shown me how to make freezer jelly Yummy!
